The congress will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) on 5-7 April 2019, with a pre-congress workshop on 4 April 2019. After the presentation and discussion, the bidding by Abu Dhabi to host the 12th Asia SIOP Congress in 2019 was approved.

The Newsletter of Asia SIOP is continued at two issues per year. The Newsletter Editor, Dr. Maya Prasad, has produced the very high quality newsletter which is distributed to members by email and also uploaded to the Asia SIOP website. Contributions from members are welcome and sharing of the professional and parent/survivor activities in the regions such as activities of International Childhood Cancer Day, are particularly welcome.

A Booklet on Asian Paediatric Haematology & Oncology Societies and Centres is now produced with contributions from 19 countries and region. Some countries had both the national societies and the NGOs, while some only had either one of the organization. The Booklet is now available at the SIOP Asia website (http://siop-online.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Childhood-Cancer-Resources-Directory-Asia_final-v170908.pdf ). The next phase will be contributions from individual treatment centres after vetting by national societies. A new category of Asia SIOP Membership, non-voting member, was created last year. Since then there were about 20 applications received and the applications was endorsed by the Executive Board of SIOP Asia.
