Linda Abramovitz RN, MSN, BMTCN is a clinical nurse specialist with over 30 years of experience in pediatric bone marrow transplantation and oncology. She is currently a practice nurse at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and non-salaried faculty at the UCSF School of Nursing. She received her BSN from the University of Rochester and MSN from the University of Pennsylvania.
Linda is actively involved in pediatric oncology and HSCT nursing as a clinical consultant, educator and researcher at a local, national and international level. Linda is a member of the Nursing Committee of SIOP, co-chair of SIOP’s Pediatric Oncology Developing Country Nursing Working Group and a member of APHON’s International Committee. Professional role development for both staff nurses and advanced practice nurses and the delivery of cultural competent care has been a focus of her work in LMIC and HIC. Linda has been participating in a twinning project in Ethiopia over the last several years.
