The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is pleased to announce a workshop on registration of cancer in children on Tuesday 22 October 2019. The theme of the workshop is aligned with the Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer (GICC), launched by the World Health Organization (WHO) in September 2018.
The aims of the workshop are:
- to disseminate information about the goals and activities of the GICC;
- to identify gaps, needs, and barriers to provision of comparable high-quality data globally;
- to propose mechanisms to monitor the progress of the GICC; and
- to explore the use of data for a reduction of the burden of cancer in children.
The proceedings of the meeting will contribute to the development and success of the GICC.
The workshop is being organized by IARC (https://www.iarc.fr), in collaboration with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, as the WHO Collaborating Centre for Childhood Cancer.
Participation in the workshop is free of charge, but registration is required, as places are limited.
Please register at http://iicc.iarc.fr/events/index.php or download the registration form below and email it to ccs@iarc.fr
The registration closes on 31 August 2019.
Looking forward to meeting you in Lyon!
