Role Overview:
As the Social Media Editor, you will be instrumental in enhancing the visibility and outreach of EJCPO through strategic and consistent social media activity. Your primary responsibility will be to establish and maintain a dedicated LinkedIn journal account, ensuring regular posting of key journal content, journal-specific news, and updates. You will collaborate closely with the affiliated society and editorial team to develop engaging content that highlights the journal’s advancements, special issues, and impactful research.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish and develop the official LinkedIn journal account.
• Create and curate engaging, high-quality content that aligns with the journal’s mission and audience.
• Maintain a consistent posting schedule highlighting:
• New and impactful articles
• Special issues and thematic collections
• Journal news and milestones
• Collaborate with the journal’s editorial team and affiliated society to promote content and initiatives.
• Monitor and analyze social media engagement metrics to optimize outreach strategies.
• Stay informed about best practices in scholarly social media communication.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience managing social media accounts, preferably in academic or scientific settings.
• Strong written communication skills tailored to professional audiences.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn as a platform for scholarly and professional engagement.
• Ability to develop creative and effective content strategies.
• Knowledge of the journal’s subject area is a plus but not mandatory.
