The Clinical Neuro-oncology Fellowship Training Program

Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Ohio State University


The Neuro-oncology Program of the Division of Hematology, Oncology and BMT at Nationwide Children’s Hospital is now accepting applications for the Clinical Neuro-oncology Fellowship Program for the year 2019-2020.

Eligible candidates must be able to obtain an Ohio medical license, must have completed residency training in Pediatrics, Neurology or Pediatrics/Internal Medicine, will have completed a 3-year Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship or Neurology Residency/Fellowship by June 2019, and will be American Board of Pediatrics eligible or certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or Neurology by June 2019.

The Neuro-oncology Program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital has undergone significant expansion of both clinical and research endeavors over the last 3 years, with the recruitment of Dr. Jonathan Finlay as Program Director and of Dr. Jeffrey Leonard as Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery. The Neuro-oncology Program is home to two multi-national Consortia directing clinical trials in childhood brain tumors, is participating in limited-institutional collaborative adoptive immunotherapy trials, and the Pediatric Neuro-oncology consortium (PNOC) has expansive basic and translational research as well as global health components, all located at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and the James Comprehensive Cancer Center.
