The International Symposium on Pediatric Neuro-Oncology (ISPNO) and the Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO) are pleased to announce the opening of applications for the ISPNO/SNO Pediatric Low-Grade Glioma Research Fellowship. This fellowship aims to support postdoctoral, clinical, fellow, or junior faculty members in conducting research focused on pediatric low-grade glioma (pLGG) outcomes.

Purpose

The fellowship seeks to encourage and facilitate the development of successful career paths in the field of Pediatric Neuro-Oncology by supporting innovative research projects directly applicable to pLGG. This fellowship will also consider proposals investigating the long-term effects of targeted therapies in pediatric brain tumors.

Funding

Thanks to the support of Day One Biopharmaceuticals, the fellowship will provide a grant of $75,000 in each calendar year. The funding is specifically designated for the Pediatric Low-Grade Glioma Research Fellowship.

Application Process

Interested candidates are invited to submit their research proposals according to the guidelines outlined in the grant application form. Proposals should address the significance of the research, proposed methodologies, expected outcomes, and relevance to pLGG.

Administration

The administration of the fellowship will be conducted by the Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO). SNO will oversee the submission and review process, as well as the distribution of funds to the selected awardee.

Selection Process

An impartial joint awards committee, comprising representatives from ISPNO and SNO leadership, will evaluate fellowship applications based on the merit of the proposed research. The committee will select the award recipient(s) following a rigorous review process.
