The ARIA Guide program is a global academic collaboration to develop, review and endorse adapted management guidelines (AMGs) for the diagnosis and treatment of childhood cancer.

The ARIA Guide Steering Committee is an advisory group to the Director of St. Jude Global and the President of International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP) on matters related to the strategy, implementation, and success of the ARIA Guide program. The Steering Committee will provide advisory oversight and recommendations that will also be communicated to the ARIA Guide Program Co-Directors.

The ARIA Guide Steering Committee is comprised of a Chair (from a low- or middle-income country), a rotating Vice-Chair (from any member) plus six additional members of whom 50% or more must be from low-or middle-income countries according to the current World Bank rankings.

The Steering Committee includes one member co-opted from each of the five partner organizations and institutions (SIOP, IPSO, PROS, CCI and St. Jude), and three additional senior oncology professionals as Members-at-Large to aim for diversity, inclusion and equity including the variety of resource settings and continental geographic representation.

Members’ expertise shall encompass at least one of the following: engagement in childhood and adolescent cancer treatment, guideline development and implementation, and/or technical skills.

Members-at-Large are determined by an open call nomination process through the five partner organizations and established networks of international pediatric oncology groups.

There is an opportunity for a new member for an upcoming vacancy from February 2026 for a period of 2-3 years. We are inviting any SIOP member to submit their application as candidate to volunteer their time and effort to the work of this committee. The Steering Committee presently meets monthly for one hour and reviews updates on project progress, direction, and policies.

Once a nomination has been accepted, submission of a conflict of interest/declaration of interest is required. Voting by the Steering Committee is required to appoint the Member-at-Large for the indicated term limit, which is possible to extend once for the same term if so, voted by the Steering Committee. Concurrence by all five-partner organization leadership is required for the final appointment.
