"Signs & Symptoms" Campaign

The ‘Signs and Symptoms campaign’ by the International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP), Childhood Cancer International (CCI) and Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) was established to raise the knowledge and awareness of health workers about the warning signs of childhood cancer.

This campaign builds on the commitment by SIOP, CCI and UICC to disseminate information on signs and symptoms of childhood cancer to health professionals, community healthcare workers and the general public to promote early detection and referral of suspected cases for further examination, treatment and care.

“Signs and Symptoms” Video Campaign Launch

On the occasion of International Childhood Cancer Day 2015, the Childhood Cancer Signs and Symptoms campaign is scaling-up with the launch of a series of expert films narrated by doctors, a nurse, a cancer survivor and a parent to help improve early diagnosis of cancer, particularly in low-income countries where need is greatest.

A collaboration between UICC, International Society of Paediatric Oncology and Childhood Cancer International, the campaign is targeted at primary and community healthcare workers to raise awareness of early ‘Signs and Symptoms’ of childhood cancer.
