The 10th International Tübingen Symposium, “Pediatric Liver Tumors: Translational Advances and Cutting-Edge Management”, takes place on 26–28 November 2026 in Tübingen, Germany, together with the SIOPEL Autumn Meeting. Abstract submission closes on 26 October 2026.

SIOP is pleased to welcome Dr. Roula Farah (Lebanon) as SIOP Asia SPAWG Chair. Her term runs from October 2026 to October 2029.

Dr Roula Farah is a Professor of General Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the Lebanese American University (LAU) Gilbert and Rose-Mary Chagoury School of Medicine and LAU Medical Center–Rizk Hospital in Beirut, Lebanon.

I am writing to share an important personal update and transition for our region. I would like to formally announce that I will be stepping down early from my role as SIOP Asia President to focus on my candidacy for Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO).

The Asian Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Group (APHOG) and SIOP Asia invite you to the 6th APHOG & SIOP Asia Joint Scientific Symposium. This year’s online session is about germ cell tumours in children and adolescents. Experts from across the region will share real-world experience and discuss de-escalation, stem cell transplantation and treatment for relapsed and refractory disease.
