Dr. Jennifer Geel, President of SIOP Africa and Dr. Jacques van Heerden, Board member of SIOP Africa and Vice Chair of Global Health Netwok, took part in the 1st national treatment guidelines meeting for the South Africa association of paediatric Haematology oncology (SAAPHO). The meeting was held in Cape Town on May 15 2026 and was sponsored by Aspen, Equity and DKMS Africa.

It’s an honour for SIOP to have such a strong representation at a meeting aiming to shape the future of childhood cancer care in South Africa.
