The SIOP Survivorship Network is seeking one Steering Group Member for a three-year term, starting as soon as the appointment is made.
We welcome candidates from any country. We especially encourage applications from colleagues with a proven track record in childhood cancer survivorship care and/or research.
About the Network
The SIOP Survivorship Network brings together healthcare professionals from around the world. Its aim is to develop survivorship care for childhood cancer that is sustainable and adapted to the resources available in each setting. The Network:
- promotes global awareness of survivorship
- makes long-term follow-up guidelines easier to access
- offers mentorship to members setting up or expanding survivorship clinics
- runs webinars and other educational activities
- encourages survivorship research around the world
- works to increase the presence of survivorship research at the SIOP Annual Congress
About the role
- The Steering Group has seven members: two Co-Chairs, one representative from the Young SIOP Network and four elected members.
- Steering Group members serve a three-year term. They may serve a second three-year term if re-elected.
- Members are expected to give at least 4 hours a month to the Network. This includes attending meetings and working offline on assigned tasks.
- Steering Group members report to the Network Co-Chairs. The Co-Chairs report to the SIOP Board of Directors.
- Members must keep their SIOP membership current for their whole term.

Eligibility
To be eligible, you must:
- Be a SIOP member with your 2027 membership fees paid. Renewals for 2027 open on November 1, 2026. Join or renew here.
- Be a registered member of the Survivorship Network. You can join through SIOP CONNECT.
Who should apply
We are specifically looking for colleagues who do not currently hold any other leadership role at SIOP, and we strongly encourage them to apply.
If you currently hold a leadership position of any kind at SIOP outside the Survivorship Network, please do not apply. We kindly ask that you complete your current term before applying for a new leadership position.

Deadline
Self-nominations close on November 30, 2026, at 1:00 PM CET (Geneva). In fairness to all applicants, late submissions will not be accepted.
Selection process
After the deadline, the Survivorship Network Steering Group will shortlist up to three candidates. Network members will then vote to choose the new Steering Group member. The SIOP Secretariat will run the election.
