The International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP) is a founding member of the newly formed Global Alliance for Cancer Patient Navigation, an initiative convened by the American Cancer Society to make patient navigation a standard, sustainable part of cancer care worldwide. The Alliance's first major output, a commentary titled "Patient navigation as a core component of global cancer care—A call to action from the Global Alliance for Cancer Patient Navigation," was published in the journal Cancer in 2026, with SIOP's Courtney E. Sullivan among the co-authors representing the Society.
PedROC September Special Series Join The Dorcas Cancer Foundation's PedROC program this September for a special five-part webinar series on pediatric radiation oncology. Sessions run every Saturday in September via Zoom at 4:00 PM WAT (3:00 PM GMT / 11:00 AM EDT / 10:00 AM CDT).
The International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP) Advocacy Committee (SAC) provides strategic direction and leadership for SIOP’s policy and advocacy work at regional, national, and global levels, working closely with the SIOP Board of Directors and key partners such as the World Health Organization. Advocacy is central to SIOP’s vision—“No child should die of cancer: cure for more, care for all.” In line with this mission, SIOP is inviting nominations for one Advocacy Committee member representing the Africa region to support its global advocacy agenda for children and adolescents with cancer. This is a board-level position on the SIOP Africa Board.
