Dee Ann has worked in pediatric oncology as a staff nurse and nurse practitioner for 23 years at Kapiolani Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. She has also served as nurse research investigator for the Children’s Oncology Group at her institution and started the first AYA survivorship clinic in the State of Hawaii. Recently, her experience has expanded to the adult oncology space and she is now certified as both a pediatric and adult geriatric nurse practitioner with additional oncology certifications as CPON and AOCNP. She is now working as an inpatient acute care hematology/oncology NP at Straub Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii with a special interest in the AYA population. She is also active in the Oncology Nursing Society at both the national and local level and is currently serving as the local chapter president.
