Jess Morgan is an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in the UK, who spends 50% of her time in clinical training in Leeds, and 50% as a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of York. In 2017, Jess completed her PhD, funded by Candlelighters Children’s Cancer Charity, entitled “Safely Shortening the Duration of Hospitalisation in Children and Young People with Febrile Neutropenia”. Her current research interests are in the supportive care of children and young people with cancer, using both systematic reviews and qualitative research. Jess lectures on child health to undergraduates and teaches research methods to postgraduate paediatric trainees in Yorkshire. Jess is also involved in a twinning project between the Leeds paediatric oncology team and a health board in Cameroon, supported by World Child Cancer.
