I was born and raised in The Netherlands and did my basic medicine and peadiatrics training in Amsterdam and Utrecht. After this training I went to Vancouver, Canada for a paediatric oncology/haematology fellowship at BC Children’s hospital. Two years later I received a job at Starship Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand and I am still working here as a clinical fellow. I want to be a good oncologist, with broad interests. In research I am focussing on supportive care. After work I love spending time outdoors with my family.
