While large-scale biobanks often lack pediatric data, AMIGO (Advanced Medical Intelligence for Guiding Omics-based Medicine) is transforming the landscape by connecting (gen)omics and clinical longitudinal data from Europe’s leading children’s hospitals. This secure ecosystem makes fragmented clinical and genetic information accessible for pharmaceutical research without compromising patient privacy.
Why This Matters
Children with rare diseases frequently lack approved treatments because traditional pediatric clinical trials are often too small and prohibitively expensive. AMIGO solves this by:
