SIOP Europe (SIOPE) and the European School of Oncology (ESO) are inviting applications for the Clinical Training Centres Paediatric Fellowship Programme, an opportunity for early-career paediatric haematologists and oncologists to complete hands-on clinical training at some of Europe’s leading childhood cancer centres.

About the Programme

The fellowship offers 3 or 6 months of clinical training, tailored to each fellow’s goals. Programmes combine general paediatric oncology experience with focused, specialty-specific training in areas such as malignant haematology, solid tumours, or neuro-oncology.

Fellows will train at one of seven participating host centres:

  • Centre Léon Bérard (Lyon, France)
  • Comprehensive Cancer Centre Ulm (Germany)
  • Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori (Milan, Italy)
  • IRCCS San Gerardo dei Tintori (Monza, Italy)
  • Hospital Sant Joan de Déu (Barcelona, Spain)
  • Princess Máxima Center (Utrecht, Netherlands)
  • The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust (London, UK)

Each fellow receives a monthly grant of EUR 2,500 (gross). Please note that medical registration fees, accommodation, and travel costs are not covered and remain the fellow’s responsibility.

Who Can Apply

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • At least 2 years of clinical or research experience in paediatric haematology and/or oncology
  • Based in Europe (including Eastern Europe, Russia, and Turkey), the Arab Mediterranean region, or Central/Southern America
