The SIOP Global Health Network Adolescent and Young Adult Working Group is delighted to announce Dr. Maya Prasad as the recipient of the GHN AYA Care Award 2026.

The GHN Adolescent and Young Adult Care Award is supported by Frontiers in Adolescent Medicine, including its Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology specialty section.

Dr. Maya Prasad is Professor of Paediatric Oncology at Tata Memorial Centre in Mumbai, India. Her clinical and research interests include paediatric solid tumours, neuro-oncology, childhood cancer survivorship, AYA oncology, supportive care, nutrition, and global paediatric oncology.

She leads one of India’s largest childhood cancer survivorship programmes and has contributed to the development of survivorship services, research, and evidence-based guidelines for low- and middle-income countries. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the SIOP Survivorship Network and has previously held leadership roles in the SIOP Supportive Care Network, SIOP Nutrition Network, and SIOP Education and Training Committee.

Through international collaboration, Dr. Prasad is committed to advancing multidisciplinary research, strengthening capacity, promoting equitable cancer care, and improving long-term outcomes for children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer across Asia and globally.
