International Childhood Cancer Day (ICCD) 2023 was celebrated by NGO-MOCC (Magokoro Organization for Childhood Cancer) in Saga, Japan.

This was held as a hybrid in-person and virtual event for the first time, as previous editions were solely online.

ICCD, held annually on February 15, is a global collaborative campaign led by SIOP and CCI. It aims to raise awareness and promote an increased appreciation and deeper understanding of the challenges faced by children and adolescents with cancer, the survivors and their families. ICCD spotlights the need for more equitable access to treatment and care for all children with cancer, everywhere. This year, we focused on paying tribute to the positive impact of families and caregivers on the lives of children and adolescents with cancer!
