As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing regional collaboration, the creation ofa SIOP Asia Board includes a new subregional group for the Western Pacific (WPRO) Subregion. This group will represent several countries, including Japan, South Korea, Mongolia, China, Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei.
Become a SIOP Asia Subregional Leader – Self-Nominations Open Now!
We invite all interested SIOP Asia members to self-nominate for the position of Western Pacific Subregional Leader. This role is integral to advancing SIOP’s mission across Asia and fostering collaboration within the region. Subregional Leaders will be part of the SIOP Asia Board (but not the SIOP Board of Directors) and will serve a term of three years, beginning in November/December 2024. They will work closely with the SIOP Asia Continental President to support regional activities, such as the Annual Congress and other programmes, as well as advocacy and policy-development initiatives alongside key partners like CCI Asia and WHO’s Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer.
This position requires a commitment of approximately five hours per month.
