Speaker: Dr. Rahela Aziz-Bose

Dr. Rahela Aziz-Bose is a pediatric oncologist whose research focuses on the intersection of food insecurity and cardiovascular health in childhood cancer survivors. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and her fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Boston Children’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Dr. Aziz-Bose also holds a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is committed to advancing health equity in cancer survivorship through innovative mixed-methods research and clinical care.

 

Dr. Aziz-Bose’s presentation will describe her research on utilization of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance program benefits among pediatric cancer patients, and the development of a novel family-centered health equity intervention for early childhood cancer survivors experiencing food insecurity
