As the Palliative Care Working Group, we are excited to announce our second webinar which will be held on September 11th.

Our guest speaker is Dr. Shahzadi Resham, MBBS, FCPS, MD Pediatric Palliative Care Physician, Pediatric Bioethicist, Pediatric Hematologist Oncologist Assistant Professor Department of Pediatrics and Child Health & Department of Oncology Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi-Pakistan

Dr. Shahzadi Resham took the initiative to develop a comprehensive Pediatric Palliative Care program at Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH), Karachi-Pakistan and the region. After completing a Global Palliative Care fellowship at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, she became a leading pioneer in Pediatric Palliative Care. Upon returning to Pakistan, she established a Quality-of-Life service at AKUH, including inpatient and outpatient consultations, tele-palliative care clinics, and home-based care. Additionally, she completed a Pediatric Bioethics Certificate Course from Children’s Mercy Hospital Kansas City. Dr. Resham’s work is pivotal for regional palliative care advancement and shaping the future of Pediatric palliative care in Pakistan and beyond.
