Dear SIOP Leaders,

Please take a few minutes to see the variety of activities offered last month as well as a few updates and opportunities. Many thanks go to the 260+ SIOP leaders who worked in various Networks, WGs, SIGs, Committees and Continents to offer the activities.

Highlights

• 469 SIOP members attended our webinars and events in Oct/Nov 2025. Overall, for 2025 to date, we have had 3,991 unique attendees to our online events, with some people attending multiple events.
• Applications for the Scientific Programme Advisory Group (SPAC), who do all the Congress abstract scoring work, are now welcome by Jan 5, 2026.
• Auto renewals for SIOP membership fees are the default for the SIOP membership platform for anyone who makes a credit card payment. If you wish to update your information, including payment preferences, or cancel your auto-renew, please follow these steps before 12/31/2025.
• A Congress Summary report was issued highlighting the success of the 2025 Congress.

Updates on the Initiatives across the Society

• The SIOP PPO Network has opened a second call for applications for the Dr Tori Willard Early Career Award, worth 25,000 USD. The deadline is Feb 28, 2026. The SIOP PPO Network also held an in-person workshop on 10/19/2025.
• The SIOP Supportive Care Network held an Update Mtg on 11/20/2025.
• The SIOP Women’s Leaders Network held an in-person workshop for 53 people on 10/19/2025 and its flagship Congress session on 10/21/2025.
• The SIOP Nutrition Network held an in-person workshop on 10/24/2025.
• The SIOP SCN Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine WG held a webinar on “Paediatric Oncology Rehabilitation – Global realities in an evolving healthcare landscape“ on 11/27/2025 as part of the LGCW.
• The SIOP Global Mapping Programme held a webinar on “Global Mapping of Paediatric Oncology Services: Highlighting Progress in Different Continental Regions“ on 11/25/2025 as part of the LGCW.
• The SIOP PARC Committee held a webinar on “Progress with accelerating Research in Low Income Countries and Middle Income Countries“ on 11/25/2025 as part of the LGCW. Furthermore, the Committee published a paper for Cancer Control  2025 highlighting the achievements of the PARC Programme.
• SIOP North America, in collaboration with ASPHO, held a webinar on “Challenges and opportunities for clinical research in low and middle-income countries” on 11/19/2025.
• SIOP Asia announced Uzbekistan as the host for the 2027 SIOP Asia Congress.
• SIOP Africa held a webinar on Wilms Tumor on 11/26/2025.
• The SIOP GHN held an in-person ABM on 10/19/2025.
• The Nursing Network’s Baseline Standards SIG held an in-person workshop in 10/23/2025.
