The Global Platform for Access to Childhood Cancer Medicines (GPACCM) — led by WHO and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in collaboration with UNICEF and the PAHO Strategic Fund — invites the global community to its stakeholder engagement webinar, “From Strategy to Collective Action: Shaping Healthier Markets for Childhood Cancer Medicines.”

This webinar marks the first in a series of dissemination events following the recent publication of the WHO Childhood Cancer Medicines Market Shaping Strategy 2026–2030, which outlines priority interventions to address systemic market failures and create more resilient, sustainable, and equitable markets for childhood cancer medicines.

Join a panel formed by Member States, civil society, academia, and key experts as they unpack the strategy’s key findings and discuss the expected impact of its priority interventions on the availability, affordability, quality, and sustainability of childhood cancer medicines — and the role different stakeholders can play in implementation.

Webinar objectives:

  • Present key findings on market failures, barriers, and root causes of poor access to childhood cancer medicines
  • Outline the market shaping strategy’s ten priority interventions and expected outcomes
  • Facilitate high-level dialogue on the collective action needed for sustainable, equitable access globally
  • Explore childhood cancer medicines market shaping as a model for addressing broader access challenges across noncommunicable diseases
