Session description:
Intravenous therapy for children and adolescents with cancer at home has been implemented in many pediatric cancer centers. At the Department for Children and Adolescents with Cancer at Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark, children and adolescents receive intravenous therapy via portable pump or injection administered by parents, and in rare cases by a community nurse, at home. This presentation shares the results of an evaluation of the use and clinical outcomes of outpatient intravenous therapy at home from 2018–2024.
