In FY2023/24, the SIOP Senior Management Team selected a number of special projects from SIOP Networks and Working Groups to be funded and implemented.
Today, we update you on the first project: SIOP Nursing Network Quality Improvement Scholars Program.
The Quality Improvement (QI) Nurse Scholars Program selected eight nurse-led teams to participate in 2024. The program consists of two components: 1) completion of a didactic quality improvement course and 2) implementation of a mentored QI project at the sites. In May 2024, all eight nurse scholars completed the course while participating in monthly ZOOM sessions with the QI mentors. Scholars’ teams are now implementing their projects at the sites. In January 2025, two webinars will showcase their projects to SIOP members. QI Nurse Scholars are listed in the table below.
