The SIOP Nursing Network is excited to share our preliminary programme for SIOP 2025 in Amsterdam!
This year, our programme is designed not only to showcase the latest in pediatric oncology nursing but also to create spaces for learning, collaboration, and connection. We are bringing together clinical expertise, patient and parent voices, and global nursing leaders to make this an unforgettable experience.
Our Education Day will be full of energy! In the morning, we will focus on clinical advances such as CAR-T and new therapies, alongside psychosocial sessions where survivors and parents share their perspectives on care. In the afternoon, we will dive into survivorship and late effects, introduce an interactive educational game, and end the day with Fast Chats, Deep Insights: Roundtable Talks with Experts and Survivors. It will be a chance to learn, reflect, and connect.
During the Congress Days, we will open with a keynote from Howard Catton on the future of the global nursing workforce. We’ll also feature our Case for Specialisation panel, diverse abstract sessions, and a keynote from Julia Downing on equity in pediatric palliative care. The Nursing Symposium with Marilyn Hockenberry will guide us in strengthening our scholarly writing skills, a vital step for advancing nursing leadership and evidence-based practice.
On October 21st, don’t miss our Nursing Roundtable Luncheon, one of the highlights of the congress. This small-group event brings nurses together with experts to discuss leadership, mentorship, palliative care, symptom management, survivorship, infection control, and more. Pre-registration is required and seats are limited, so make sure to secure your place early!
October 22nd will include the Nursing Business Meeting. An important opportunity to stay informed about Nursing activities
We also know how important informal connections are. That’s why this year we’ve built in “Greet & Meet” moments to grab a coffee, introduce yourself, and grow your network. Our Poster Walk & Coffee sessions will also give you the chance to talk directly with authors, exchange experiences, and discover new ideas in practice and research. And of course, don’t miss our Poster Happy Hour for even more networking in a relaxed setting!
We will close the programme by celebrating our achievements and aligning on the next steps for global nursing collaboration.
