Highlights

• 585 SIOP members attended our webinars and events in July 2025. Overall, for 2025 to date, we have had 2,884 unique attendees to our online events, with some people attending multiple events.
• 2025 Annual Congress (Amsterdam) – registration is open here. The next registration deadline is Sept 29, 2025, after which rates become more expensive.

  Updates on the Initiatives across the Society

• The SIOP Supportive Care Network held a progress meeting on 7/17/25.
• The SIOP GHN AI WG held a webinar on “AI for Everyone, Everywhere: Let’s Talk about Large Language Models (LLM)” on 7/2/25.
• The SIOP GHN Palliative Care WG held a meeting titled “The Word is Yours: What More Can We Do Together” on 7/8/25.
• The SIOP GHN PROS WG, together with PROS and WPE, held an education webinar on “Radiotherapy in Ependymoma” on 7/10/25.
• The SIOP Scientific Committee opened late abstract submission process. The early bird deadline saw more than 2,000 registrations for the Amsterdam Congress.
• SIOP Africa offered an educational webinar on “How to approach a new case with an abdominal mass.”
• The SIOP Women Leaders Network closed the application window for its Women’s Leadership Workshop.
• The SIOP Membership Committee celebrated reaching the same level of membership (3,700 members) as the final membership of 2024.
• The SIOP Secretariat created a webpage with all off-site meetings and events which will take place around the Congress days. Please explore and join those of interest.
• SIOP North America, with ASPHO, held a webinar on “The Global Platform for Access to Childhood Cancer Medicines: A Transformational Opportunity to Accelerate Progress in Childhood Cancer Care and Control” on 7/24/25.

Open SIOP Leadership Opportunities:

• Currently, there are multiple leadership opportunities with the SIOP Nursing Network, SIOP Nutrition Network and the SIOP Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine WG.
• The SIOP PPO Network and the SIOP Women Leaders Network are shortlisting candidates for leadership positions.
