Please see several leadership opportunities below with the SIOP Supportive Care Network Steering Group (SG). Everyone is welcome to self-nominate for a position.

The available positions are:

  • SG Member-HIC, 2 seats available, start immediately
  • SG Member-HIC, 1 seat available, starts in Oct 2026
  • SG Member-LMIC, 1 seat available, starts in Oct 2026
  • Co-Chair-HIC, 1 seat available, starts in Oct 2026

Eligibility:

  • SIOP membership fees for year 2026 paid
  • Member of the SIOP Supportive Care Network

To apply, please submit a CV and a motivation letter (max 2 pages), detailing concrete activities that the Supportive Care Network could offer in the coming 12-24 months and which of those activities you are willing to lead.

The SIOP Supportive Care Network SG, consisting of Co-Chairs and SG members, ensures the SC Network accomplishes its purpose within SIOP by increasing global awareness of supportive care issues in childhood cancer; collaborating with research groups to integrate pediatric supportive care guidelines and recommendations; boosting pediatric supportive care contributions to the SIOP Annual Congress; collaborating with international groups in SC. Additionally, SG members assist the Co-Chairs in decision-making, project oversight, and risk management. With multidisciplinary expertise and diverse regional representation, they act as subject matter experts and liaisons between the network and their regions. Active participation in all activities is expected.

After nominations, the Supportive Care Network Steering Group will review and shortlist the candidates who will be shared with the Supportive Care Network members for voting.

Members who already hold leadership positions elsewhere at SIOP are strongly encouraged to complete their terms prior to applying for any of the above positions.
