The SIOP Asia Meet-Ups held between May and June 2025 marked a major milestone in strengthening pediatric oncology collaboration across Asia. Conducted in 18 countries / territories—Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Syria, Thailand, Uzbekistan—these informal gatherings created a vibrant network for knowledge exchange, advocacy, and membership growth under the banner of the SIOP.

Over 600 professionals gathered in person for the SIOP Meet-Ups demonstrating the convening power of SIOP. Childhood cancer professionals across disciplines enjoyed meeting new colleagues and networking with each other.

The 2025 SIOP Asia Meet-Ups achieved their goal of expanding regional participation, fostering professional collaboration, and strengthening SIOP’s presence in Asia. They built new bridges across institutions and borders, empowered emerging oncology leaders, and demonstrated the power of collective action to improve childhood cancer care. These events stand as a model for future regional engagement—highlighting that collaboration, communication, and commitment remain central to achieving equitable care for all children with cancer.
