Dr Guillermo Luis Chantada, Board of Directors SIOP
Graduated from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and completed his postgraduate training in Clinical Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology- Oncology at the Hospital JP Garrahan at Buenos Aires where he served for 31 years. He is an associate member of the Oncology Service of the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, Barcelona, Spain. He is Principal Researcher of the National Council of Research in Argentina (CONICET). He is the Scientific Director at the Pediatric Hemato-Oncology Service of the Hospital Universitario Austral, Argentina and at the Hemato-oncology service of the Hospital Pereira Rossell in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Pediatric oncologist from Peru and past-president of the Latin American Society of Pediatric Oncology (SLAOP), and Childhood Cancer Consultant at the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in the coordination of the WHO Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer. Dr. Vasquez graduated from medical school in 2006 from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima, Peru and from pediatric oncology training in 2012 from Universidad San Martin de Porres in Lima, Peru. She graduated in 2021 with a Master of Global Child Health from St Jude Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. She graduated in 2018 with a Master of Medical Research from Universidad San Martin de Porres and Clinical Research (PPCR) from Harvard Medical School.
Program Coordinator for Cameroon at World Child Cancer, has been awarded SIOP’s Nursing Leadership Award for his incredible contribution to paediatric oncology nursing, research and advocacy. Dr Glenn Mbah has worked as a children’s cancer nurse in Cameroon since 2010, which is supported by World Child Cancer. He is a nurse trainer and leads the education and research committee of the Cameroon Nurses’ Association. He is an active member of several committees within the International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP).
Currently working as Director Nursing at Dow University hospital and a free lace Trainer and Program Manager for Pediatric Oncology Nursing training and trainer for palliative care Projects. A highly accomplished professional and recipient of Nursing Leadership award from International Society of Pediatric Oncology, First from Asia among one of four nurses from the Global Fraternity in her field. She has worked for over 22 years, with 18 years of expertise in pediatric oncology nursing, she is passionate about the field and how it can be transformed in Pakistan. She is a founder of the first Pediatric Oncology Nursing Education Department in Pakistan that was initiated in 2009, which has since trained more than 350 nurses from all over the country and 15 international nurses from countries in Asia and Africa.
