This educational session will focus on the practical aspects of Total Parenteral Nutrition in children undergoing cancer treatment. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of current clinical guidelines, calculation method, micronutrient compatibility and safe administration practices.
Speaker: Dr. Erika Damasco-Avila
Research Scientist for the International Initiative for Pediatrics and Nutrition at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (USA). Previously, she served as a clinical nutritionist in the Hematology and Oncology Division at the Instituto Nacional de Pediatría in Mexico. Her research primarily investigates nutritional management in pediatric oncology, with a focus on addressing malnutrition and improving dietary care in low-resource settings.
