The Global Platform for Access to Childhood Cancer Medicines (GPACCM) has published its first market shaping strategy for childhood cancer medicines: Closing the Childhood Cancer Survival Gap Through Sustainable Access to Medicines. The Global Platform is led by WHO and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in collaboration with UNICEF and the PAHO Strategic Fund.

The strategy sets out 10 coordinated interventions, sequenced across three implementation horizons from 2026–2030:

  • Near-term: Stabilize supply and consolidate demand
  • Medium-term: Build market transparency and domestic financing
  • Long-term: Strengthen sustainability and support innovation

SIOP contributed to the review of the strategy, alongside colleagues across the global paediatric oncology community.
