The SIOP Nursing Network Quality Improvement (QI) Nurse Mentors Program was launched in June. The program focuses on “training the trainers” to increase capacity for Spanish speaking nurses caring for children with cancer to develop and implement QI projects in their clinical settings. They will serve as the faculty for the 2026 Spanish QI Nurse Scholars program. Dr. Marilyn Hockenberry and Aisha Nedege serve as faculty for this mentorship program.

Both the English and Spanish language SIOP Nursing QI courses are free and available online. Nurses working on their own QI projects may want to enroll with their team members to increase their knowledge of QI and learn new strategies for their project’s success.
