The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow is a historic, multidisciplinary medical organisation based in Scotland. It was founded in 1599 by royal charter, and its main goal is to establish and maintain high standards in medical practice with the education, training, and evaluation of health professionals, such as physicians, surgeons, dentists, and travel medicine specialists, in order to improve patient care.
“My first reaction when I heard about the distinction was gratitude for receiving this honor. I was nominated for this distinction by Dr. Ronald Barr, one of the colleagues with whom I have developed research on nutritional aspects in pediatric cancer patients,” said Dr. Antillón-Klussmann.
This fellowship is one of the oldest and most prestigious recognitions in the world of medicine.
