The 18th SIOP Asia Congress took place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia — 25–28 June 2026.
More than 300 participants from 55 countries gathered in Ulaanbaatar this June for the SIOP Asia 2026 Congress, hosted at the Corporate Convention Center under the theme “Together for Change: Science, Compassion, and Hope for Every Child.”
Welcoming such a diverse international community to Mongolia was both an honour and a proud milestone for the organising team – and a powerful reminder of what shared purpose can achieve across borders. More than 240 presentations were included in the various program led by 145 speakers.
Over four inspiring days, delegates exchanged knowledge, strengthened partnerships, and reaffirmed a collective commitment to improving outcomes for children with cancer across Asia and beyond.
Four Days of Global Collaboration
The Congress opened on 25 June with sessions on Global Oncology, an international collaboration panel, and parallel tracks covering Head & Neck Cancer, Cancer Genetics, and the challenges facing pediatric oncology across Asia — followed by an Opening Ceremony and Welcome Dinner that set the tone for the days ahead.
26 and 27 June brought the scientific heart of the Congress into full swing, with tracks spanning HSCT, Neuroblastoma, Leukemia & Lymphoma, Solid Tumors, Radiotherapy, Infection & Immunity, Histiocytic Disorders, and Supportive Care, alongside dedicated Meet the Professor sessions with leading voices in the field, free paper sessions, and the CCI Asia and APHOG program tracks running throughout.
A highlight of the Congress was a dedicated Global Oncology – Everyone Has a Voice session, spotlighting the importance of equity, inclusion, and collaboration in advancing pediatric cancer care worldwide.

The program was further enriched by special joint sessions with the WHO, St. Jude, CCI, APHOG, ESHDOG, and RSPOH — a demonstration of the power of international partnership in advancing pediatric oncology. Delegates also came together outside the lecture halls, from the Fun(d) Run & Walk at National Garden Park to committee and business meetings that will shape the Society’s work in the region for years to come.
The Congress closed on 28 June with a final Global Oncology session and Closing Ceremony, capping four days of shared learning and renewed commitment.
