Dear colleagues,

Our research initiative is committed to capturing evidence on how to improve cancer care and promoting locally-led research that addresses the unique challenges and needs that our cities face – beyond the bias often present in global cancer research.

For the second consecutive year, we are offering seed funding to support researchers in a select number of cities, who aim to conduct health systems and policy research projects through an implementation science lens.

Eight funded grants of a maximum of $5,000 are available for research projects that respond to local cancer care needs in the cities of Arequipa (Peru), Greater Petaling (Malaysia), Kumasi (Ghana), Leon (Mexico), Nairobi (Kenya, Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Rosario (Argentina), and Tbilisi (Georgia).

APPLY NOW

The deadline to apply has been extended until 10 November 2024 and the application criteria can be found on the C/Can website

The aim of our Seed Grants to generate exploratory studies or early-stage research, while developing local research capacity. You can read more about how our 2023 grantees are moving forward with their projects and what their research entails here.

Best wishes,
