Workshop Summary

Join us for a powerful half-day workshop designed to empower women across all disciplines of pediatric oncology. Held ahead of the SIOP 2025 Congress, this interactive session will focus on strengthening leadership skills, fostering mentorship, and building a global network of women driving change in pediatric cancer care.

Led by expert facilitators from hfp consulting, the workshop will feature a mix of plenary insights, small-group activities, and practical leadership tools tailored to the challenges and opportunities faced by women in science and medicine.

Whether you’re an established leader or an emerging voice in the field, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to connect, reflect, and grow.

Who should attend?
Women professionals in pediatric oncology—multi-disciplinary healthcare providers (including physicians, nurses, psychologists, dieticians, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and all others!), researchers, policy makers, or other professionals—who are passionate about leadership and impact in childhood cancer care.

Applications & Workshop Fees

Applications are now welcome. Space is limited – please apply soon.

Workshop Fees: Workshop fees are 40 EUR for HICs, 2o EUR for UMICs and free for LMICs/LICs. SIOP uses the World Bank country classification. Your workshop registration fee will cover your lunch and coffee break during the workshop. Applying for the workshop is free but, if accepted, you will be asked to pay the workshop fees.

Scholarships available (up to €133) for participants from low-income countries (LMICs/LICs).

Spaces are limited—an application is required. Not all who apply will be selected. Selection notifications will go out by August 10, 2025. Selection is done by the SIOP WLPO Network’s Steering Group.

    • Please book your own accommodation.
  • Public Transport: The Princess Máxima Center is located opposite the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital (WKZ) in the Utrecht Science Park and is easily accessible by public transport. For a complete overview, see www.usp-bereikbaar.nl. From Utrecht Central Station, tram 22 stops at the Princess Máxima Center. You get off at the second to last stop WKZ/Máxima, opposite the entrance of our center. Bus 28 also stops here. Visitors or parents who park in P+R Utrecht Science Park can take tram 22 or bus 28 to the Máxima (one stop, journey takes 1 minute).
