Dear SIOP Nursing Members,

The newly developed Research and Quality Improvement Working Group (WG), which is part of the SIOP Nursing Network, invites applications for WG members.

The scope of the WG is to create opportunities for pediatric oncology nurses to participate in nursing research and quality improvement.  WG members serve a 3-year term and work with Co-Chairs (Dr. Marilyn Hockenberry and Dr. Lindsay Jibb). WG members focus on a specific project coordinated by the WG that is expected to be completed within a year.

In 2026, WG memers will focus on:

>>SIOP Nursing Science Fellowship workstream: WG Members will work on preparing lectures, reviewing research proposals and attending WG Zoom meetings, as needed. Each member on this team will work closely with Dr. Hockenberry to support the Nursing Science Fellows.

>>SIOP Nursing Research Agenda workstream: Working with Dr. Jibb on the Delphi study to establish the SIOP Nursing Research agenda over the next year.

Individuals must be SIOP members with membership fees for 2026 paid, have at least 3 years’ experience in pediatric oncology and completed a master’s degree or higher in nursing or health science specialty.
