The world is embroiled in multiple crises – from disasters to conflict to the climate emergency, threatening the right to health of millions globally, with those in vulnerable situations suffering the most.
This dialogue will bring the WHO Director-General, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mr Volker Türk, together to discuss how to protect the right to health and other health-related human rights in a world in turmoil. They will explore how policy makers can uphold international commitments and discuss actions to take at the global, national and local levels to realize the right to health for everyone, everywhere.
The dialogue is moderated by Ms Lindsey Hilsum, International Editor at Channel 4 News.
