Thank you, Dr. Gemma Bryan, for your many years of leadership at SIOP!

SIOP is grateful to Dr. Gemma Bryan who has recently completed her term as a Member of the SIOP Board of Directors and her leadership of the Young SIOP Network!

Thank you, Gemma, for your drive to excellence, your innovation and your collaborative work both within the Young SIOP Network and SIOP Board, and also with internal and external partners and groups.

During her leadership of the Young SIOP Network (YSN), and working closely with its Steering Group members, Gemma helped grow and expand the Network in many ways: the total numbers of SIOP members aged 40 yrs and younger grew; the Education Day programme during the Annual Congress expanded its offerings and is one of the most appreciated learning and networking features of the Annual Congress; and the YSN social media presence increased and helped spread the word about its work around the world.

Most importantly, during Gemma’s tenure as the Chair of the YSN and in recognition of YSN’s contribution to the Society, the SIOP Board expanded to include the YSN Chair as a Board position. In this way, Gemma brought the voice of young paediatric oncology professions to the SIOP Board of Directors.
