Dear PPO Network Members,
It was wonderful seeing so many members at the SIOP Annual Congress in Ottawa!  As we mentioned at the meeting, the PPO Steering committee is working to develop new ways to serve our members and to promote excellence in psychosocial care within SIOP. With this in mind, the Steering Committee will be expanding.  Over the coming months, we will run two elections: the first for a Network Co-Chair, and the second for two new Steering Group Members.  Candidates for these positions must be SIOP PPO Network members in good standing, and once elected, they will serve in these positions for a three-year term.
Steering Group Members support the work of the Network and contribute to decision-making on current and new activities. Steering Group members are actively involved in planning the PPO Educational Day at the Annual Aongress, running our PPO social media account, and contributing to other Network initiatives. The PPO Network Co-Chairs work closely with Steering Group to plan and implement activities of the PPO Network and are the primary point of contact with SIOP Leadership. Please review the TOR of the PPO Network before submitting a nomination/self-nomination:
For the nomination, you will need to provide a CV and motivation letter. Please submit your nomination here:
Any PPO Network Member may submit nominations; self-nominations are strongly recommended.  Nominations will be reviewed by the PPO Network Steering Group who will decide on the slate of up to 3 candidates (per position) who will be put forward for a vote by the PPO Network Membership.
• Deadline for Nominations: Dec 20, 2023 at 12pm noon CET
• Shortlisting of Candidates by the PPO Steering Group: January 2024
• Announcement of Candidates & Online Voting: January-February 2024
• Result announcement: by email February 2024.
All nominations require a CV and motivation letter.  The motivation letter should describe interest and experience with SIOP or similar professional organizations and mention of specific activities within the PPO Network that the nominee is interested in leading.  These may include developing a new special interest working group, promoting membership outreach and communication, developing online educational materials for PPO members, or other ideas for building and promoting the PPO network.
We look forward to receiving your nominations for Network Co-Chair and Steering Group Member. Please do not hesitate to reach out to current Network leaders by email with questions or to discuss further!
Kind regards,
SIOP PPO Network Leadership
