About the Session

This educational session will provide a comprehensive overview of radiotherapy approaches for ATRT, highlighting current standards of care, clinical challenges, and evolving treatment strategies. Particular attention will be given to the role of modern radiotherapy techniques in the multidiscipli-nary management of this rare and aggressive pediatric brain tumour.

Speaker

Yasmin Lassen, MD
Consultant in Radiation and Clinical Oncology Danish Centre for Particle Therapy, Aarhus University Hospital

Dr. Lassen primarily treats paediatric patients with brain tumours and is actively involved in the SIOPE ATRT01 protocol. She serves as Chair of the SIOPE Radiotherapy Working Group and is a member of the PROS Executive Committee.

Her research interests include paediatric radiotherapy, proton therapy, late effects, neuro-oncology, neurovascular late effects, intracranial germ cell tumours, and ATRT. Through her clinical and research work, Dr. Lassen is deeply engaged in advancing high-quality, evidence-based radiotherapy for children with cancer.
