Dear YSN,

The Young SIOP Network has been actively gearing up for SIOP Ottawa in the next two weeks! We are pleased to present our annual and highly anticipated free events: Education Day, Expert Lunch, and Collaborative Event sponsored by Global HOPE. It has been a real pleasure to collaborate with other networks and working groups in SIOP for our Education Day this year and we are excited to showcase this in two separate joint sessions in this year’s congress: Family centered care: cure for more, care for all (with CCI and the Nursing, Global Health, and Supportive Care Networks) &  Unlocking personalized treatments. A global perspective on Precision Medicine (with Global Health and AYA nodes).

We want to celebrate and honour this year’s winner of our Rising Star award, Dr Chalinee Monsereenusorn (Thailand) who will also be featured in this year’s Education Day programme. Congratulations as well to our Young Investigator Award winners whose profiles are highlighted on our blog and our social media! This year we are also excited to announce that we have been able to provide funding to offset accommodation costs for six YSN members traveling for this year’s congress. We hope to continue to build on this in the coming years to provide a Young SIOP Network hub at future congresses and increase the feeling of community.

Please join us on SIOP Connect to stay in touch with future and upcoming Young SIOP Network activities! We are brainstorming about ways to improve our outreach and you can anticipate hearing details in the coming months about new virtual events and activities! Do you have ideas? Reach out and tell us at young.siop@gmail.com!
